PageBreak

Terms of Use

Last updated 19 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and ZHENYI LIANG, an Australian sole trader (ABN 83 234 283 113) ("PageBreak", "we") for the PageBreak app and this website. By using PageBreak you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.

What PageBreak is — and is not

PageBreak interrupts the moment you open an app you chose to intercept, and offers a short reading session in its place. It is a habit tool. It is not a security product, a parental control, or a medical or therapeutic device, and it is not a treatment for any condition. It does not prevent access to anything: by design you can always continue to the app you opened.

You need an Apple device and Apple's permission

PageBreak depends on Apple frameworks — Screen Time and Shortcuts — that only Apple controls. Interception requires you to grant Screen Time access and to create a one-time Shortcuts automation. If you decline either, or if Apple changes or withdraws these frameworks, parts of PageBreak will not work. We will do our best to adapt, but we cannot guarantee behaviour that depends on another company's platform.

Subscriptions

Purchases are made through Apple, so Apple's refund policy applies and refunds are requested from Apple, not from us.

Your content

Books, documents and files you import remain yours. They stay on your device; we never receive them and claim no rights over them. You are responsible for having the right to use any file you import.

Our content

The curated reading catalogue, the PageBreak name, and the app itself are owned by us or our licensors, and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy, resell or redistribute them.

Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer the app, interfere with its operation or our servers, use it to infringe anyone's rights, or use it unlawfully.

Availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of PageBreak. If we discontinue a paid feature you have already paid for, we will provide a pro-rata refund or an equivalent replacement.

Disclaimers and liability

PageBreak is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will change your habits.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to PageBreak is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights you have under your local consumer law, and nothing in these terms reduces them.

Ending this agreement

You may stop using PageBreak at any time and delete the app from your device. We may suspend or end access to any online service we provide if you materially breach these terms.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for PageBreak. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. To the extent the App Store's standard licence terms conflict with these terms, those standard terms prevail for the licence itself.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and the courts of Western Australia, Australia have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings where you live.
