Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 September 2026

The short version: what you read, how far you got, which apps you chose to intercept, and your streaks never leave your device. We cannot see them, and we have no way to ask for them. Subscriptions are handled by Apple.

Privacy

What you read is nobody's business, including ours.

Nothing you read, and nothing about your reading habits, ever leaves your device. Rather than round that up to “we collect nothing”, here is the whole boundary.

Apple hands the app opaque tokens rather than app names, so we genuinely cannot tell which apps you picked.

This policy explains what PageBreak ("we", "us") collects when you use the PageBreak iPhone app and this website, why, and what control you have. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who we are

PageBreak is an app operated by ZHENYI LIANG, an Australian sole trader (ABN 83 234 283 113). The business is based in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. For anything in this policy, write to support@pagebreakapp.app.

What stays on your device

The following are stored on your iPhone only:

None of this is transmitted to us. Deleting the app removes its on-device copy.

What we do receive

The PageBreak app does not create an account or send personal data to our servers. Apple processes subscriptions and payments through the App Store. We do not receive payment information, your Apple Account identity, or your reading activity.

Screen Time and your apps

PageBreak uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity) to intercept the apps you choose. Apple deliberately hands apps opaque tokens rather than app names or icons. This is not a promise we are asking you to take on trust — it is an architectural limit: PageBreak has no technical means of learning which apps you selected, how long you spend inside them, or anything else on your device.

What we do not do

Who processes data for us

Apple processes App Store payments and subscription management under Apple's own privacy policy. PageBreak does not use a third-party account, analytics, or content-hosting service in the app.

How long we keep it

We do not keep an app account, reading record, or subscription record. Your on-device data remains until you remove it or delete the app. Apple manages its own purchase records under Apple's privacy policy.

Your rights

Your reading data never reaches us. For questions about this policy, write to support@pagebreakapp.app. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Deleting your data

PageBreak does not have an account to delete. Deleting the app removes its on-device data. Subscription cancellation is managed in your Apple Account settings.

Children

PageBreak is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app before any material change takes effect.
